چکیده
This paper presents a self-contained, single-chip biosignal monitoring system with wireless programmability and telemetry interface suitable for mainstream healthcare applications. The system consists of low-noise front end amplifiers, ADC, MICS/ISM transmitter and infrared programming capability to configure the state of the chip. An on-chip packetizer ensures easy pairing with standard off-the-shelf receivers. The chip is realized in the IBM 130 nm CMOS process with an area of . The entire system consumes 1.07 mW from a 1.2 V supply. It weighs 0.6 g including a zinc-air battery. The system has been extensively tested in in vivo biological experiments and requires minimal human interaction or calibration.

A 910MHz high efficiency RF transceiver for Wireless Body Area Network in medical application is presented in this paper. High energy efficiency transmitter and receiver architectures are proposed. In wireless body sensor network, the transmitter must have higher efficiency compared with the receiver because a large amount of data is sent from sensor node to receiver of the base station and sma...

The Bumblebee is a self-contained, ultra lightweight, low power 7.6 x 8.7 mm wireless sensor capable of reliably transmitting data over 10 meters to a USB-compatible 433MHz receiver for approximately 3 days continuously on one 0.17g battery. With its small size, microvolt level noise floor, and 0.3g weight, the Bumblebee is well suited for on-body electromyography and other sensing applications...

In this paper the tunable M-channel filters based on Thue-Morse heterostructures consisting of single -negative materials has been studied. The results showed that the number of resonance modes inside the zero- gap increases as the number of heterogenous interface, M, increases. The number of resonance modes inside the zero- gap is equal to that of heterogenous interface M, and it can be used a...
متن کاملIndoor Non-directed Optical Wireless Communications - Optimization of the Lambertian Order
For an indoor non-directed line of sight optical wireless communication (NLOS-OWC) system we investigate the optimized Lambertian order (OLO) of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). We firstly derive an expression for the OLO from a conventional Lambertian LED model. Then, we analyze the indoor multi-cell NLOS-OWC channel characteristics including the optical power distribution and the multipath time ...
متن کاملA New Unequal Error Protection Technique Based on the Mutual Information of the MPEG-4 Video Frames over Wireless Networks
The performance of video transmission over wireless channels is limited by the channel noise. Thus many error resilience tools have been incorporated into the MPEG-4 video compression method. In addition to these tools, the unequal error protection (UEP) technique has been proposed to protect the different parts in an MPEG-4 video packet with different channel coding rates based on the rate...
